Proximity Location is a setting on the Creator Identity tab that places your creator within about 100 km of whoever she's talking to, instead of fixing her to one city. Turn it on when your creator isn't publicly tied to a real location, so she can read as someone nearby.

When to use it

Proximity Location works best when the creator isn't tied to a real place. Check both before turning it on:

  • The creator isn't publicly linked to a specific city on her social profiles. Otherwise you'd contradict her public persona.
  • You want your strategy to rely on local projection, the fan imagining her nearby.

If she is tied to a city, use a fixed City instead. See How to Set Up a Creator in ChatSan and the Creator Identity article.

How to turn it on

  1. Open the creator's Edit page and go to the Creator Identity tab.
  2. In the Core identity section, switch Proximity location on.

Once it's active, the City field shows "100 km radius of user" instead of a fixed city.

How it works in a conversation

The AI waits until it knows where the lead is, then places the creator within about 100 km (60 miles) of him. If he asks where she is first, she holds off with a believable reason and turns the question back to him, so the placement always matches his location. A lead who believes she's nearby tends to stay engaged, because the chat feels personal rather than online-only.

Good to know: Proximity Location only changes where she appears to be. Everything else, her voice, story, and offer, still comes from the rest of her setup, so keep them coherent.
