How to connect a creator's Fanvue account to ChatSan with OAuth and confirm it's ready to receive leads.

The Connections tab links the creator's Fanvue account to ChatSan, one step of the full creator setup. It sits next to the Telegram connection on the same tab.

Why ChatSan needs the connection

ChatSan reads and replies to a creator's Fanvue DMs through that account's own access, so it needs the creator to grant it. The OAuth connection is how the creator authorizes ChatSan. Until the account is linked, ChatSan can't see or answer Fanvue conversations for that creator.

How to connect

The Fanvue card is on the Connections tab of the edit creator page. Connecting opens Fanvue's own sign-in, so have the creator's Fanvue login ready.

  1. Open the creator and go to the Connections tab.
  2. On the Fanvue card, click Connect via OAuth.
  3. Sign in on Fanvue and approve the access ChatSan requests.
  4. You return to the creator page, and the Fanvue card status changes to Live.

Note: The Fanvue card only shows in staging and local environments right now, not on production. If you don't see it on the Connections tab, you're on an environment where the connect UI is hidden.

Check the connection status

The Fanvue card shows whether the account is linked at a glance:

  • Live (green) - the account is connected and ChatSan is managing its Fanvue conversations. The card shows the connected handle or display name.
  • Not connected - no Fanvue account is linked yet. The card reads "No account linked" and shows the Connect via OAuth button.

Good to know: A linked Fanvue account counts as a channel for the creator, the same way Telegram does. With at least one channel live and setup complete, the creator is ready to receive leads.

Reconnect when access expires

Reconnect when the connection drops or the account's access stops working. Reconnecting runs the same OAuth flow and refreshes ChatSan's access to the Fanvue account.

  1. Open the creator and go to the Connections tab.
  2. On the Fanvue card, click Reconnect.
  3. Sign in on Fanvue and approve the access again.
  4. Confirm the card returns to Live.

Note: You need permission to manage the creator's workspace to connect or reconnect Fanvue. If you don't, the connect flow stops and tells you so. Ask the workspace owner or an admin with the right role.
